Well, a very strange thing just happened. The blog that I have set up for my Nanowrimo novel is finally ready, and I went to make my very first post. I set the blog up in ecto, and when ecto went to retrieve the posts on the server, instead of retrieving the Hello World post that was up, it retrieved a post that sounded suspiciously like an email virus:

Here you are! was the title of the post, and the body only contained an MP3 file.

I haven’t made any posts to the site at all! So I hurriedly pulled up the blog itself, but all I could see was the Hello World post (which wasn’t showing up in ecto at all). I immediately deleted the Here you are! post from ecto - I could see it going onto the server and deleting the entry - and once that was done, the Hello World post showed up.

This is all very strange. I have submitted a support ticket to my hosting company about this, but it sure does sound like I was hacked into. But my files all look fine and my blog is fine, too. But I’m going to hold off on posting to it, or launching it in anyway until I figure out what’s happened.
