Just a quick update on my experience using the Google Sitemap Plugin I posted about in my previous post. I used it to for a site that has been around for a while that I just couldn’t seem to get Google interested in.

I’m happy to say it’s been working. It looks like most of my content has now been found by Google, and is steadily making its way into the index. However, the Google Sitemap service definitely didn’t work quickly for me - checking my stats I see that Googlebot didn’t exactly gobble up all my pages at once. It’s been slow and steady instead, with the bot returning every day and progressively grabbing more pages with each visit. But at least the site is in the index now!
