It’s been a while since I’ve updated Working Blogger. The holidays were a crazy, happy, chaotic time, with its fair share of mishaps. I cut my finger trying to battle an acorn squash into submission for the roasting pan the night we had my family over for Christmas dinner. I didn’t brave the emergency room for stitches so have been wearing a funny home-made contraption complete with popsicle stick splints which has, amazingly enough, worked perfectly. My cut is healing nicely and I don’t even think there will be a scar. Much. :)
Then there was the usual round of flu. Have you ever noticed how that always happens around the holidays? We had a bit of a 24-hour flu bug go through the household. Nothing serious. In fact, my own variation gave me some nice downtime, relaxing and napping on the couch. It’s been unseasonably warm here in Toronto, so I found myself basking in sunlight to boot.

I’ve been thinking a bit more about the direction of this blog, too (yet again). See, everytime I get down to seriously blogging here about serous blogging stuff, I feel conflicted. First of all, there are all manner of truly excellent excellent blogs about blogging, and for the life of me, I personally cannot think of any way to differentiate Working Blogger from any of these excellent blogs - nor do I want to.

Secondly, I don’t always feel the call to write here about serious blogging stuff.

So I’ve decided to take the plunge, and make Working Blogger more about me, about being a blogger, about living life, about having fun, about blogging in general, about blogging in specifics. A personal flavour, so to speak. It will probably mean I’m on here more often than before. It’s a bit like what I had tried to do here once before, but I’m keeping the blogging edge.

The new year’s going to bring a lot of great fun, a lot more profit (I hope) and a lot more new blogging experiences for me. I’m really looking forward to blogging here about all of it.

I do hope you’ll all continue to stick around ;)
